International contribution campaign launched as devotees and well-wishers contribute more than Nu. 1.6 million on the first day

Works are underway to transform the Shivalaya Mandir in Gelephu into a Golden Mandir, following the command of His Majesty The King.

An international contribution campaign to support the transformation was launched today, inviting devotees and well-wishers from Bhutan and around the world to take part in the initiative.

The campaign received an encouraging response on its first day, with contributions exceeding Nu. 1.6 million.

The initiative is expected to further enhance the religious and cultural significance of the Shivalaya Mandir and establish the temple as a prominent spiritual landmark in Gelephu.

The contribution campaign will provide an opportunity for devotees and supporters, both within Bhutan and abroad, to participate in the transformation of the temple.
