Shivalaya Mandir in Gelephu to Be Transformed into Golden Mandir
I nternational contribution campaign launched as devotees and well-wishers contribute more than Nu. 1.6 million on the first day Works are underway to transform the Shivalaya Mandir in Gelephu into a Golden Mandir , following the command of His Majesty The King. An international contribution campaign to support the transformation was launched today, inviting devotees and well-wishers from Bhutan and around the world to take part in the initiative. The campaign received an encouraging response on its first day, with contributions exceeding Nu. 1.6 million . The initiative is expected to further enhance the religious and cultural significance of the Shivalaya Mandir and establish the temple as a prominent spiritual landmark in Gelephu. The contribution campaign will provide an opportunity for devotees and supporters, both within Bhutan and abroad, to participate in the transformation of the temple.
