The Health Minister on behalf of the government, Chairperson of the National Council, and Opposition Leader in the motion of thanks expressed their appreciation to His Majesty the King for gracing the closing session. They also expressed deep gratitude to His Majesty the King for leading, guiding, and protecting the country and the people during the times of global pandemic. Gratitude was also expressed for the grand celebration of the 114th National Day and for the Royal Address. They offered their commitment and re-dedicated themselves to serve the Tsa-Wa-Sum to fulfill the aspirations of His Majesty the King.
They also expressed their appreciation to Her Majesty the Gyaltsuen for the compassionate support being provided to the people during the fight against the pandemic. They also thanked the Zhung Dratsang led by His Holiness the Je Khenpo, armed forces, Dessungs, volunteers, health workers, Bhutan Red Cross Society, and everyone who has been unconditionally offering their services during the difficult times in every possible way.
The Speaker, in his concluding address, expressed his gratitude to His Majesty the King for initiating the De-suung and various skilling programs for the De-suups. They have been actively involved in the fight against the pandemic and as well in providing essential services to the people. They are also involved in the development of important infrastructures such as water and road projects. The Speaker submitted that the program has not only helped De-suups build their capacity but has also enabled them to lead a meaningful life for themselves and be of service to the community. He also expressed gratitude to His Majesty the King for the successful celebration of the 114th National Day and the Royal Address. Reflecting on His Majesty’s Royal Address to the Nation on 114th National Day, the Speaker urged everyone to remain on their toes and persevere to keep pace with the fast-changing world and serve our country with renewed dedication and fortitude.
The Closing Ceremony concluded with the offering of Trashi Moenlam to His Majesty the Druk Gyalpo by the Members of the Parliament led by Zhung Dratshang.
