🚨 Police Warn Public About Fake Facebook Links Targeting Bank Customers
Police are warning the public to be extra careful with links shared on Facebook, following a number of scams designed to steal personal and banking information. In the latest cases, victims were reportedly directed to fake websites and asked to enter details such as their CID number and mobile number . They would then receive an OTP on their phone and be tricked into entering it on the fake website. Once the scammers obtained the OTP, they could change the account password and take control of the account.
